Pastoral Services
In remote indigenous areas such as Ranikhong, Mariamnagar, and Dorgachala in Greater Mymensingh; Lakshmipur in Sylhet; and Bandarban in the Chittagong Hill Tracks, sisters are cooperating in the grassroots service work of the church by propagating the message of the Good News.
Our Mission
Consecrated person stands at the heart of the Church, and mission is essential to understanding consecrated life. Inspired by its charism, the SMRA Congregation lives its mission through unconditional love, joyful service, and compassionate presence, especially among the poor and marginalized. As Perfectae Caritatis teaches, consecrated persons participate in the Church’s pastoral mission through education, care of the sick, and other ministries (PC 10).
Through education, healthcare, social and pastoral ministries, the Sisters witness to the Gospel with joy, compassion, creativity, and love. Inspired and guided by the Holy Spirit, the Congregation has extended its mission to eight dioceses in Bangladesh, continually renewing its ministries in response to the needs of the Church, society, and diverse cultures. Ultimately, all their service seeks the glory of the Father (EG 267).
With courage and dedication, the Sisters go wherever people are in need—even crossing forests, mountains, and difficult places—to live among them and serve them. In this way, the SMRA Sisters make Christ’s love visible through their life and mission throughout Bangladesh.
