Serving People with Special Needs

One of the core apostolic works of the SMRA congregation is empowering widows, women, orphans, and persons with disabilities. Through initiatives like the Bottomly Home Orphanage, Jagoroni Mohila Samity, and the Center for Disabled, the congregation provides these vulnerable groups with spiritual and moral education, nurtures financial discipline, and equips them with the skills needed to achieve self-reliance.

Our Mission

Consecrated person stands at the heart of the Church, and mission is essential to understanding consecrated life. Inspired by its charism, the SMRA Congregation lives its mission through unconditional love, joyful service, and compassionate presence, especially among the poor and marginalized. As Perfectae Caritatis teaches, consecrated persons participate in the Church’s pastoral mission through education, care of the sick, and other ministries (PC 10).

Through education, healthcare, social and pastoral ministries, the Sisters witness to the Gospel with joy, compassion, creativity, and love. Inspired and guided by the Holy Spirit, the Congregation has extended its mission to eight dioceses in Bangladesh, continually renewing its ministries in response to the needs of the Church, society, and diverse cultures. Ultimately, all their service seeks the glory of the Father (EG 267).
